about Sissy

Carol Frances Shaw was born on June 11, 1997, in Tallahassee, Florida. Growing up her older brother gave her the nickname “Sissy”, and it has stuck ever since. Sissy grew up in a home filled with music. Home is where she learned to love and appreciate a wide variety of musical genres and the artists who bring them to life. She started taking music lessons at a young age. It was not until high school when she picked up the guitar and started writing songs as well as performing them. At her high school talent show Sissy made her debut singing her original song “Hometown”.  From there launched many solo performances including Tallahassee’s Summer Concert Series, Tallahassee Music Week, Songwriters for Hope, as well as numerous other local events. She began recording and producing original music. As Sissy starts a new chapter in Nashville, Tennessee, she is forever grateful for her hometown and the support she has received from the amazing Tallahassee community.  In Nashville Sissy hopes to continue to produce and perform original music.
